The Folk Legacy Trio

April 14 @ 2:30 pm

Music of the Great Folk Era
Will Rogers Auditorium – 3909 East 5th Place, Tulsa, OK, USA

Hailed as “the living library” of music of the great folk era, George Grove, formerly with the Kingston Trio for 41 years, Rick Dougherty, former member of the Limeliters and Kingston Trio for 25 years and Jerry Siggins, former lead singer for 27 years of the legendary doo-wop group The Diamonds, deliver songs from the ‘50s-‘70s with their signature dynamic vocals and instrumental arrangements. Their repertoire includes songs from The Weavers, The Kingston Trio, The Limeliters, Peter Paul & Mary, The New Christy Minstrels, The Brothers Four, The Chad Mitchell Trio, Tom Paxton, Judy Collins, Joan Baez, Gordon Lightfoot, Simon & Garfunkel, John Denver, and many others. Blending stories, history and humor, they have received accolades from venues across the country of “Best Show Ever.” George and Rick performed on the Will Rogers stage twice in 2016 with The Kingston Trio, a “Tribute to Woody Guthrie” and their Christmas repertoire, “Holiday Cheers,” shown annually on PBS and Public Television, and are delighted to return.

Concert prices range from $25 to $50. Tickets are $25, for a handicapped person. If the handicapped person will be in a wheelchair, the ticket includes admission for a companion seated next to the wheelchair. Service fees and credit card fees are added to each transaction.
